Sadly, renowned Sliabh Luachra fiddle player, Paddy Cronin, passed away on the evening of Saturday, March 15th. Paddy will be missed by all in the Sliabh Luachra area.

The Inaugural Sliabh Luachra Music Trail Concert takes place on Saturday the 15^th of March in the Edel Quinn Hall, Kanturk, Co. Cork. In association with the Kanturk Arts Festival, the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail presents a selection of the countries finest traditional musicians including; Jackie Daly, Matt Cranitch, Con O’Drisceoil and the recent TG4 Young Musician of the Year, Bryan O’Leary. Doors 8pm – Admission €15

The Sliabh Luachra Music Trail is a joint initiative involving the Arts Offices of Cork and Kerry County Councils. Sliabh Luachra is associated with a very specific and idiomatic traditional music style and through the development of the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail we aim to celebrate this tradition. Among the objectives include a range of measures that aim to promote and preserve the region’s unique musical heritage.
