Handed Down Lecture / Recital Series

“Jerry McCarthy The Gortglass Rambler ” presented by Paudie O Connor

Paudie O’ Connor will give a look back on the musical path of fiddle player Jerry McCarthy who was a pupil of Patrick O’ Keeffe. Special guests are Aoife Ní Chaoimh and Aidan Connolly who will showcase tracks from his new CD .

Admission Adults €7 and Children under 12 €3

Sliabh Luachra Summer School was held from Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th August.

The participants put on an outstanding performance for their families and people from the local community.

The 3 day event hosted in Tureencahill Community Centre was proudly supported by the Arts Office, Kerry County Council as part of the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail.

It proved a great success and hopefully will be the first of many ….
